Biography

Elizabeth Sherriff the daughter of Joseph Sherriff occupation Confectioner and Ann Bachelor. From her death certificate no. 564, Elizabeth Weller had died on the 16th of March 1869, at Union St, Little Brighton, Victoria. Cause of death was Dropsy. A doctor had not attended Elizabeth at all in the 12 months leading up to her death. The Coroner ruled there was no need for an inquest. The informant on her death certificate was her husband John Weller. She was buried at Brighton General Cemetery on 18th March 1869. Elizabeth was noted as being born in Buckinghamshire, England, she had been in Victoria 20 years. The place where her marriage to John Weller at the age of 38 years was noted as High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. It appears that Elizabeth had no children of her own.
