Notes for John Lacey Weller: I have found a few Jamaican Records relating to a John Lacey Weller, and feel certain that those records relate to your relative of the same name.

Firstly the Jamaican Militia List of 1817, shows John Lacey Weller as a Lieutenant in the Cornwall Regiment of Foot, in the St. Elizabeth Regiment.

There is a record of a christening dated 26th December 1813 ...... John Weller was christened. His parents were William John Lacey Weller, and Ann Thompson. I suspect that this William John Lacey Weller was your John Lacey Weller, as we know that he was in Jamaica at around that time.

There is another record of a christening dated the 8th October 1815 ..... James Stewart Weller was christened. His parents were John Lacey Weller, and Dorothy Helen Stewart b. 1796. This child, I am certain belongs in your family tree. I have no idea whether John and Dorothy ever married. I have entered both on your Tree Chart, even though the first child is in question.

I have no idea what happened to Ann, Dorothy, or the children, but John Lacey Weller returned to England where he married Maria Foott in 1821. John died in 1823 in London, and was buried in Amersham, in Buckinghamshire.

John Lacey Weller and Ann Thompson had the following child: i. JOHN3 WELLER was born on 26 Dec 1813 in Parish of St. Elizabeth, jamaica.

Notes for John Weller: John's christening record states that his father's name was William John Lacey Weller .... so this relationship could be in question. However, I feel that it is highly probable that William John Lacey Weller, and your John Lacey Weller, are one and the same person. I have no idea what happened to John, or his mother Ann. His father, John Lacey Weller returned to England prior to 1921, and died in 1923 in London.

John Lacey Weller and Dorothy Helen Stewart had the following child: ii. JAMES STEWART WELLER was born on 08 Oct 1815 in Parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.

Notes for James Stewart Weller: James's christening record states that his father was John Lacey Weller. There is little doubt that James should feature on your family Tree Chart. I have no idea what happened to James, or his mother. His father John Lacey Weller, returned to England prior to 1921, and died in London in 1823.
